Kevin currently serves as a Principal with Hickey and Associates, a global site selection, labor analytics and incentives advisory firm. He provides management consulting services to assist businesses with the strategic vision, critical data capture, and analytics to navigate and execute local and global real estate footprints.
From 2006-2022 Kevin served as Sr. Vice President, Global Real Estate and Security for Hanesbrands Inc., a Fortune 500 company and one of the largest textile/apparel manufacturing companies in the world. The HBI real estate portfolio consisted of 1600 properties, 35 million square feet and included manufacturing, distribution, R&D, offices, and retail stores in 43 countries. Kevin’s responsibilities included portfolio planning, acquisitions, dispositions, and facility management for Hanesbrands’ real estate assets, as well overseeing the global security function.
Kevin has expertise in developing centralized real estate management functions for newly created public companies and acquisitions with under-managed real estate portfolios, such as the Earthgrains Company spin-off from Anheuser Busch in 1996 and the Hanesbrands spin-off from Sara Lee in 2006. He has more than 35 years of real estate experience in financing, M&A, research, leasing, and portfolio optimization from working for several Fortune 500 companies in the banking, retailing, real estate, and consumer packaged goods industries.
Kevin has an MBA in finance from Washington University in St. Louis and an M.A. in urban planning from Miami University in Ohio. He holds the MCR designation from CoreNet Global, is a Past Chair of the Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Kevin’s civic involvement includes board participation in the YMCA, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Humane Society.
