Tim Rios, Chief Learning Officer at The Lipsey Company, began his career with a boutique brokerage firm in Utah focusing on land sales in 1995. In 1998, Tim joined a national brokerage firm as their Research Services Manager overseeing their Phoenix, Tucson and Las Vegas Offices. Throughout his career, he has held various positions in investment sales and executive management spanning a region from Chicago to the Inland Northwest. His personal brokerage experience spans Office, Retail, Industrial, Multifamily, and Land with asset values ranging from $350,000 to over $65,000,000. The breadth of experience in his career has allowed him to develop a deep repertoire of skills to address the needs of private and institutional investors.
During his management career he built teams in all major product types plus specialties in Seniors Housing, Hospitality, Manufactured Housing, and Self-Storage. Tim and his teams have closed over $1.5 billion in total consideration across 13 states. He was responsible for recruiting, training, and retention of agents in the Southwest and Inland Northwest. Additionally, he was the broker-in-charge of all 125 Illinois agents for Marcus & Millichap and was responsible for establishing new offices throughout the Midwest.
In the past ten years with The Lipsey Company, Tim’s training and consulting has expanded to multiple countries on five continents. In 2022, he circumnavigated the globe completing assignments in The Americas, EMEA, and APAC. He has also leveraged his experience together with the vast Lipsey training library to re-introduce One-On-One Coaching to The Lipsey Company. His coaching programs are founded on the idea that individuals, markets, and companies are unique. Standard programs are easier for a coach, but often not the best fit for the individual. Therefore, he takes the time to understand the needs, resources, and goals of the individual before designing their custom program. His personal roster of coaching clients includes new-to-business brokers through multi-million dollar producing veterans.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning from Brigham Young University and a Masters in Real Estate from Georgetown University.
