Mike May, CMP, CITP, IP, is the Executive Chairman and lead shareholder of Brightspot Incentives & Events in Dallas, TX. His industry leadership has been recognized multiple times, including Top 25 Most Influential People in the Incentive Industry and Top 500 in Events.

Mike is a strong industry supporter and served as the 2018-2019 Chairman of the Trustees of the Incentive Research Foundation (IRF), a past member of the Performance Improvement Council of the Incentive Marketing Association, and a frequent industry presenter.

Mike maintains three industry certifications – CMP (Certified Meeting Professional), CITP (Certified Incentive Travel Professional), and IP (Incentive Professional). He is the author of 12.5 Steps to a Perfect Incentive Program, a comprehensive how-to guide filled with incentive tips, actionable advice, and industry research.

Today, his 8 grandchildren (ages 2-12) are what make him light up with stories. Mike’s hobbies include travel to new destinations, basketball and golf, finding new flavors of ice cream, and walking the beach with his wife, Karen.
