Mr. Martin is a proud native of Atlanta. He is the Founder and Managing Principal of SDM Partners, LLC based in Atlanta, GA. SDM, since its inception at the start of 2009, has focused on opportunistic investing, primarily office buildings. Mr. Martin started his CRE career at Mellon Bank in 1983 and prior to starting his own firm was the Atlanta partner for Granite Properties (2002-08). He is a 35-year member of NAIOP having served as the Georgia Chapter President in 1999 and was the National Chairman of the 20,000+ trade organization in 2015. Mr. Martin holds a B.A. in Economics from Jacksonville State University (’80) and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (’83). He has been married to Robin for 34 years and has a 30-year-old son.
